Class Structure

Each class begins with warm-up exercises. A typical class involves the development of basics, drills with partners, solo Kata work, as well as bunkai (practical application) and/or self-defense techniques.

Our students use the coloured belt system to denote achievement. The requirements for each colour belt are outlined in the student manual. Our emphasis, however, is on the students’ self-development rather than rankings, and students are encouraged to advance at their own pace.
